PAPAL VISIT IN THE PHILIPPINES POPE FRANCIS STATE VISIT AND APOSTOLIC JOURNEY IN THE PHILIPPINES by: Paul Cuaresma Basea Pasig City, Philippines – Bienvenido Papa Francisco! January 15, 2015 the Holy Father, Jorge Mario Bergoglio or popularly known as Pope Francis whom his name derived from St. Francis of Asisi arrived at Villamor airbase, Philippines from Sri Lanka as part of his apostolic journey in Asia. At his arrival, thousands of Filipino welcomed him. He is full of passion to serve the poor in our country. He has this magical smile and aura that no one can resist. He’s own way of greeting his devotees is exceptional and admirable. His charm, his humility, simplicity is very unique that no one can deny that this pope can be love by all people regardless of what they’re religion and social class is.
